After a very nice visit from my parents who took me to dinner in the North End I met up with Mike (who I am hoping will be happy over this blogging) to hang out. After once again feeling old on Northeastern's campus (I went to school there and graduated at this point two summers ago), I was signed in by him and allowed to enter the building. Ha, cute. Anyway, we watched a couple episodes of Sex and the City before making a "round." A round being, since he is an RA, walking up and down every hallway in the dorm making sure nothing is out of control or wrong. Well, the first rounds left a lot to desire. The only thing wrong was a bunch of girls blasting Jessica Simpson so loudly that you could hear it as soon as you entered the floor. If it was Ashlee, well.. haha.. ! Anyway, back to Mike's room before a quick run to get pizza seeing like 45 hot as hell boys on the walk there. Since I have never seen Mean Girls before and Mike is addicted to it (and all of the other peep's have seen it ), we thought it would be fun. It is totally cute and funny and it reminded me of high school until I heard Mike say that it is like our circle of friends and that I am Regina. (For everyone who hasn't seen the movie, Regina is on the right in this picture, the blond even though I am not, evil, demanding, yet smart, overly social, rich, too good for everyone else, out of the box, trusting herself girl). So, my friends, thanks! Since I am Regina in all of their eyes it makes me think about how everyone else fits into their "Mean Girl." Or even since this has dorkily been discussed many times, which Sex and the City character they are. I'm not going to point fingers or name names but I am the closest to Carrie then any of them. Ha, yes Mike, sorry, I'm taking Carrie. Outside of the people I have been previously talking about, I actually stand up for what I believe and what I want to say like her. One more walk around midnightish forced us to bang on the gay boys' room because as we were walking down the hallway, one boy screamed, can I have the Grey Goose. Ha, after our first knock, they took about 4 more minutes to open the door. Oh, the good old days of hiding your entire life thinking no one will notice. So ridiculous. Anyway, my walk at 1:30 am through Northeastern (one more time to think about my life) and then the South End, where I live now (no students or quiet hours), it feels like I have actually accomplished something for myself. Though, not unbelievably great but something. But then again I also felt like I am a little ridiculous. I need to try to stop. For Regina or Carrie. But also, Mike or none of my friends if you are reading this are "tools." Even though I am Regina, I don't care.
OMG I love MEAN GIRLS.. haha.. I guess we have something in common cause my friends call me Regina too. As far as SATC I'm a bit of all of them but the closest to Carrie also. HAHA.. loved this post! That movie rocks!!
