The weekend began with buying the new release of the Samuel Adam's Seasonal Brew White Ale which is supposedly a "spring" beer for them after a job interview. Which I am thinking means "spring" is right around the corner. I also saw those marshmallow bunnies in CVS a few days ago. I know for sure that THAT is a definite sign of spring. The massive piles of snow outside might be a small factor in proving exactly the opposite but whatever ;)
Loving netflix.com still. So, spectacular to have movies laying around the house that you actually want to see. I feel like I am becoming a serious movie buff. It is fun. What was more fun though was the fun time I had on my sorta new sorta old date on Saturday night. Combined with the movie Be Cool (which was funny even thought it bashed gays a good amount) and the hot sex that followed afterwards, cuddling and spooning and then waking up for a good ole diner breakfast makes me feel sorta in a 15yo girl dreamy mood. Aww.
I have also started reading Less Than Zero by Brett Easton Ellis and I have to say that the whole idea that myself and the MTV generation (i think we are generation E) are incredibly void of anything more than material objects is a little on the troubling side. The book however makes me feel the need to do drugs (badness) and get in a car and drive around someplace trashy and warm.
Set in Los Angeles in the early 1990's, this coolly mesmerizing novel is a raw, powerful portrait of a lost generation who have experienced sex, drugs, and disaffection at too early an age, in a world shaped by casual nihilism, passivity, and too much money a place devoid of feeling or
hope.
