I have a lot to blog about and I am sorry for the many days without anything new but I have been sick, through an emergency room, and a busy weekend which now seems like years ago.
So where should I begin? I am thinking last weekend which was totally chill. Friday night Matt, Jesse, Tom and I ate hamburgers (and Absolut Vanilla Blueberry Martinis for dessert) as we played Xbox on the big screen. Saturday night I hung out with a bunch of people to attend Take Me Out (the Broadway play which is now traveling) in the South End for a special night. One of my friends Ricardo was in the play and it was also his birthday so it became this big shin dig. After the hysterical play (with some awesomely hot bodies) we headed back to Tom's condo for some really good champagne and a slice of "one of America's top 5 bakeries" cakes. So after I stuffed two pieces down and was pleasantly buzzed, a group of us (my friends Matt and Jesse and his hot Buffy like roomate came along too) headed to some over the top "frat-like" "hawaiian themed" gay keg party in some mansion in Dorchester. It was OMG crowded and a ton of fun. There were boys who spoke Italian there which seemed amusing since Tom and I practiced our Italian with them. I ran into some old buddies and we drank more expensive champagne (right from the bottle at this point, yes I know, classy).
We woke up Sunday with a hangover which we tried to chase with brunch and a movie. I went to see Kingdom of Heaven with Orlando. (not with him, the movie has him in it, sorry) It was pretty good actually. I could have done without one of the battle scenes but I thought the movie was beautifully shot. The scenes were so lavish and decadent that it felt like I was actually in them. Turns out they filmed not in Jeruseleum but Moorish Spain. It had a good moral to it too. One of the best lines came near the end of the movie when Orlando asks the Muslim leader, "what does Jeruseleum mean to you?" He responds, "Nothing." Then a pause as he walks away. Then he says "Everything." I thought that pretty much summed up the situation perfectly.
More to come in a few hours.
