A long time ago I stumbled across this photographer named Anthony Goicolea (with the help of Jerry and ArtBaselMiami) and I have to say that the more I look at his photographs, the more intrigued I am in meeting him and/or seeing more. He is a Brooklyn based artist who is actually the boy/man in the photos. Pretty scary, right? Well, it also turns out he is like in his thirties. Pretty scary, right? haha.. I absolutely love them though. They are all visually intense, dark and sometimes mysterious, at times stomach-turning, but also arousing somehow. They are pretty reasonably priced unlike a Gursky but you need a pretty large wall to fit it on. I really love his "You and What Army" series which is why I originally noticed him. The photos posted here,"Spit or Swallow?" and "Pisser" caught my attention and I think you know enough about me to understand why, lol.
